Mariah Dresses Up

SO, its obvious Mariah's new song "Obsessed" is about SOMEONE. Now, bloggers are saying that the pics she released via her Twitter are her "dressed as Eminem"...Idk...If she is or isnt, Eminem definitely wouldnt take that serious. He was in on the whole "ass in eminem's face" at the MTV Movie Awards, so im sure he'd bust a gut laughing at these pics:

In this interview with MTV, Nick Cannon deniesthis song and video are any retliation to Eminem for "Bagpipes From Baghdad".

New Videos

I haven't been in the mood to blog. I was feeling like there wasn't much out here that I wanted to talk about. But, Im back with a new attitude. Got some videos to share with you all (in case u missed them this past weekend).

First up are some videos of performances from the BET Awards in order (as I can remember seeing them):

New Edition Opening The Show:

Jamie Foxx

Keri Hilson

Ne-Yo Sings "Lady In My Life"

Ciara Sings "Heal The World"

Trey Songz, Tyrese and Johnny Gill Tribute The OJ's

Janet Comes Out To Speak On Behalf Of The Jackson's

for more videos visit DailyMotion

On another note: This video is the tribute to Michael Jackson done by The Game, Chris Brown, P.Diddy and Boyz II Men

As most of us all know, Chris Brown was "supposed" to open the BET Awards with a tribute to Michael Jackson, but as we all watched, the show went on with no mention of Chris at all. Soon after the awards were over, rumors circulated that Jay-Z shut Chris Brown down. Word is, he threatened not to perform and have B not perform, either.

Then, more rumors popped up, saying that Al Sharpton was the reason that Chris didnt perform. So, AL Sharpton immediately got on damage control, sitting down with MTV and speaking on the situation:

Via: MTV

Juelz Santana spoke out on what he heard went down that night via his Twitter:

A! i take nothin away from Jay-Z. i dont wanna sound like a Hater but his swagger was on Zero yesterday

A! & i just heard thru the grape vine that Jay-Z said he would not Perform if Chris Brown was gonna perform.. SMH Sucker Move

Beyonce Tributes Micheal Jackson At Her Show In Philly

Im not a big fan of B, but she performed a little bit of one of my favorite MJ songs at her concert in Philly. "I Cant Help It" is on my top 5 list of favorite songs made by the King of Pop.

Rest In Peace Micheal Jackson (1958-2009)

(Sighs)...

Of course, as we all know by now, Micheal Jackson has passed away due to cardiac arrest. Yesterday, I found out through Twitter that MJ had gone into cardiac arrest. So, of course, I turned the news on and there it was, in my face. The scroll on the bottom read "Micheal Jackson rushed to hospital after suffering cardiac arrest". I didnt want to believe it. My mother, brother and friends were all in the livingroom with me and we were all shocked at the same time. Maybe it was just me, but I thought Micheal Jackson would live to be 100. I just knew that when I had kids, they would know who he was and love him a much as I do. I thought MJ was immortal. And to have his heart just stop, is crazy to me. I cant even believe Im writing this...To see "RIP" and his name after is gives me chills. Yesterday, "Never Can Say Goodbye" was the first time I thought that song was sad. And hearing it brought the tears out of my eyes. No, I didnt know him personally, but he was (and still is) my favorite entertainer PERIOD. So, yes, it saddens me that this has happened because no one wants someone to die. Especially not MJ. My fam and I were JUST watching his concert on dvd last weekend and now we'll never see or hear from him again.

I didnt want to post anything about MJ, but after reading what everybody had to say about the King of Pop, I decided to share it with my readers. These are all from people close to Micheal:

--Elizabeth Taylor “My heart … my mind … are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together. I was packing up my clothes to go to London for his opening when I heard the news. I still can’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it. It can’t be so. He will live in my heart forever but it’s not enough. My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I’ve ever known. Oh God! I’m going to miss him. I can’t yet imagine life without him. But I guess with God’s help … I’ll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, ‘To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.’ And, I will love HIM forever.”

--Brooke Shields: “My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael. He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world. I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing.”

--Madonna: “I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless.”

--Lisa Marie Presley: “I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me.”

--Diana Ross: “I can’t stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking. I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family. Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80’s. To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”

--Quincy Jones: “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words.”

--Liza Minnelli: “He was a kind, genuine, and wonderful man. He was also one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. I loved him very much and I will miss him every remaining day of my life.”

--Corey Feldman: “I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend. Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on September 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired … I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide.”

--Paul McCartney: “I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones.”

--Chris Brown: “Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer. I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He’s the greatest… the best ever. No one will ever be better.”

--Diddy: “Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!”

CASHUS C.R.E.A.M

Via Twitter, I met a cool dude by the name of Cashus C.R.E.A.M. He's a songwriter from Conneticut (now residing in NYC) who is also an artist/rapper. After talking to him for a bit, I find out that he's friends with someone I know through a close friend of mine (small world, isnt it?).

Recently, he did a freestyle that I really liked and asked if I could put it up for my readers to enjoy. Of course he said it was cool.

Chris Pleads Guilty To Assault

According to TMZ:

"Chris will spend 180 days doing community labor, (which is hard labor). It will all happen in Virginia where he lives. He will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks. He got 5 years probation after pleading guilty to the assault, surpervised probation, has to enroll in a domestic violence program, and has to go back to court every 3 months.

The judge ordered a 50 yard stay away, but noted that if him and RIhanna are at the same events, the 50 yards turns into 10 yards. If Chris violates his probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison. Once Chris left the courtroom, Rihanna entered and the judge explained to her that she must also stay away from him for the next 5 years..."

Beyonce At Madison Square Garden

When Tweeting Goes To Far...

Dorian from College Hill Season 5 has been hacked and his nude photos and celebrity contacts were put all on Twitter. Since then, all of that has been taken off his page and he has called into 100.3 The Beat and spoken on the situation.

I woke up this morning to massive Tweets from Perez Hilton who claimed Will.I.Am assaulted him and he was bleeding and needed police:

I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.

I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.

Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.

"Words can hurt. I know that very well, from both sides of the fence. The other night in Toronto, after feeling physically threatened by a verbally abusive Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, I chose the most hurtful word I know to hurl at him. I was in an out-of-the ordinary situaton and used a word that I would not utter under normal circumstances. My intention - however misguided it may have been - was to stand up for myself and tell this belligerent man that I had enough of his badgering and was not going to continue to let him berate and intimidate me. I wanted to hurt him with the word I chose, not anyone else. Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me and, subsequently, a lot of other people. I wish none of it had happened. I can't take it back. I did what I thought was best at the moment to stand up for myself in a non-violent yet still assertive way. Clearly, I am not homophobic. Also, I am not nor have I ever claimed to be a spokesperson for the gay community. I am just speaking for myself, a gay man. One who is labeled "flamboyant" in the media. An American that is not granted equal rights under the law. I will continue to speak out for equality and I will continue to say things that upset both gay people and straight people. Who I am as a person and what I do for a living are two separate things. I've come to terms with all my incongruities and am proud of who I am and what I do. In closing, words can hurt. But words should not provoke someone to violence. Stripped away from the mask of Perez Hilton, I have been extremely bothered by the public reaction to my assault. Violence should never be condoned with such statements as "It's Karma" or "I don't believe in violence but….". In fact, several television and radio shows over the past couple of days echoed the sentiment "He had it coming". Would they have said the same thing if I was a woman? Would I have "deserved it" if I had been stabbed? Or shot? Or killed? I was attacked from behind without warning and repeatedly punched in the head in a cold, disgusting and unnecessarily violent manner by Polo Molina, the road manager for the Black Eyed Peas, who I did not even speak with that evening. I did not share any words with him and his assault on me was completely unprovoked. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I leave this traumatic experience as a person with more compassion. Specifically, there was an instance last year when actor Jesse Metcalfe was attacked outside of a Hollywood nightclub by a fellow entertainer. I did not condone the violence, but I did make light of that situation. I regret that. Sincerely. There are many ways to deal with disagreements, both good and bad, but violence is never the answer. Never. I now know that first-hand. It should not be condoned, promoted or accepted. No one "deserves" to be the victim of violence. No one "has it coming." NO ONE. And victims should not be ridiculed. I look forward to marching for equality in Washington, D.C. this October. And I look forward to standing up for my rights in a Toronto courtroom shortly, as I fully intend to seek every lawful remedy against the man that attacked me."

New Music From Chris Brown and Rihanna

Chris Brown- "Smash"

Chris gets right to the point with his "booty bumping" beat and autotune in this song. The song is what the title is (lol)... Meanwhile, Rihanna takes a different road. "Te Amo" is about a female friend who loves her. (huh?)

Nike MVP Puppets: Kobe's Celebration

I had to put this up for my team.
Congrats, Lakers.

Noreaga Shows Love...

After a posting from Noreaga on Twitter, I realized he'd changed his default picture. Me, being semi-curious, I clicked on it and this is what I saw:

It's a chain devoted to what he's calling "Noreports" instead of "NewPorts"...

If this isnt a love for nicotine, I dont know what is.

Cassie and Red Cafe On Charlamagne's Show

Cassie and Red Cafe stopped by "The Beat" in Philly not too long ago for an interview with Charlamagne. If you know who he is, you know he went in on her. He went from the subject of her shaving her head to her nude photos being released to the public.

When I first started listening to the audio, I had to pause it because I already felt the uncomfortable-ness (is that a word?) of the situation. I had already heard about the interview, so I knew Cassie was in for it (so to speak).

Album Review: "How To Be A Lady: Vol 1" Electrik Red

If you dont know by now, Electrik Red is a four-woman group, consisting of Kyndra "Binkie" Reevey, Lesley Lewis, Naomi Allen and Sarah Rosete.

Reevy and Lewis (who are from NYC) were dancing in Usher's "Confessions" tour when they met and Rosette and asked if she wanted to be in their group. She agreed, only if her best friend (Allen) could be in it to. Soon after, Reevy and Lewis "fell in love" with the newest member and E;ectrik Red was formed in 2005.

While working on their album, the girls worked as dancers, appearing in videos for the likes of Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, Akon and even appearing in "Dreamgirls".

In 2008, they were signed to Def Jam after an audition for L.A Reid. Soon after, a meeting with The Dream and Tricky Stewart was set up and the girls were co-signed to The Dream's Def Jam based label, Radio Killa.

"How To Be A Lady: Vol 1" was released on May 26, 2009. The title of the album is only to poke fun at how ladies are supposed to act. The girls explain "its okay to be different".

Audio:"On Point"
Audio:"Go Shawty"

P Is For Power, the song starts off as saying, "P is for power, the U is for used to..cause my P better than the P that ya used to.." Go Shawdy is a slower song...something you could call a baby maker (I thought of sex when I heard the song, maybe thats why lol). All in all, the album gets...3 out of 5 stars from me.

Chris' Appeal To Postpone Hearing Is Rejected

No more procrastinating, Chris. This is going to happen whether we want it to or not.

Chris will face Rihanna on Monday at the hearing that Chris and his lawyers are trying to postpone.

Geragos appealed to California's highest court after a lower court judge, Judge Patricia Schnegg, denied his motion to access the confidential personnel records of 25 Los Angeles Police Department employees. Gergaos was seeking the records prior to the preliminary hearing, hoping to find out who leaked a shocking photo of a badly-bruised Rihanna taken after she was assaulted, allegedly by Brown.

Usher Is Not Playing Around

The breakup of Usher And Tameka Raymond is getting nastier as the days go by. Now, the word going around is that Usher is requesting ALL PAPERWORK that Tameka had her hands on during the time they were together. (Sounds like he didnt trust her...)

"In what can only be described as a legal understatement, the document proclaims: "The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken. There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation."

New Music Tuesday (Part 2)

She's backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

Im not a big fan of Mariah Carey, but Im sure some of my readers are, so here are the links for her new single (which I actually kind of dig). It's called "Obsessed". Gucci Mane is on the remix.

A certain blogger has "eminem diss?" in question marks, but I seriously dont think this is for Eminem.

Pay attention at the end lmfao!

New Music Tuesday

Trey Songz released his very first demo, him at 17 years old, as a mixtape last night on his blog. The name of the mixtape is "Genesis". In Trey's own words, he speaks on this recent release:

Genesis - the beginning of it all. I was a kid with big dreams. At the age of 15, I met Troy Taylor, My Producer, Mentor and founder of Songbook Ent. He lived in Jersey while I was a high school student living in Virginia. We kept contact throughout the school year & I'd come to Jersey for whatever school breaks we had AND the summers to hone what had now become my craft. While I loved music, like anybody does, making music was new to me. You will hear the Immaturity and youth in my voice, you'll hear me learning how to record. This is Trey Songz PRE - Gotta Make It. Most of the songs you will hear were recorded in a basement in Teaneck, New Jersey. I slept on a fouton, I woke up to loud music and was made to think of melodies and concepts before I washed my face or brushed my teeth. I could make 10 bucks stretch for 2 weeks because I'd rather not burden my mother. I drove a 88 Honda Accord that had 2 different color doors with no radio back and forth from VA (or Baltimore) to Jersey. This is only one chapter of my story, you'll learn more as we grow together. I want my fans to know my musical path, know the work I put in and see my growth. Know that ANYTHING is possible. If u believe in YOU like no one else could ever have a work ethic to match and u cannot be stopped. With that being said...I give you GENESIS.

Remy Ma Blogs From Jail

"I always find myself thinking about what I was doing a year ago, two years ago, five years ago today. I never remember exactly where till I find myself imagining where I would be today. I rarely listen to the radio because it’s sort of depressing. Not being able to record is stressful not because I’m a rapper but because that was my way of venting and expressing myself. So I write a lot! So much that now I have a callous on my finger from holding a pen. I guess I got used to texting my rhymes!

I get a lot of fan mail and everyone asks me how I’m doing? I say fine, the way I see it I never imagined making it this far with my sanity. Not being able to go somewhere when you want, see your family when you want (on many occasions when you need to), can't use the phone, take a shower, wear clothes, or even eat when you want - super aggravating. Whenever, which is almost everyday I get visits, a lot of kids ask for autographs. It’s something that I used to do almost everyday but now it actually feels weird, I really feel like an inmate.
And as much as I hate to admit it, I really am an inmate. I mean, it kind of grows on you when certain people go out of there way to make you feel like that.

They have this program called YAP (Youth Assistance Program) they keep asking me to join. It’s a program that brings inner city kids to the prison to show them what it’s like to be incarcerated. I hear that every group asks about me but I’m a little hesitant to join. They think it will give the kids a reality check that this can happen to anyone. I however feel that it’ll be more of the kids wanting to see Remy Ma the rapper and because of that they won't get that I'm actually in jail. So I'm still contemplating. If I figure out a way for them to actually get it, that this is really not a place you would ever want to be whether for 8 years, 8 months, or 8 minutes then I’ll do it.

Everyone in prison isn't innocent but everyone in prison isn't guilty. So whether you end up here on purpose or by accident, the pain you’re feeling is still the same. And I can quote a lot "gangsters” by saying that “I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy…”

Forever Innocent,
Rem

Chris, Mijo and Teyana Taylor Take in Game 5

Last night at game 5, the AP dubbed Teyana Taylor a "rihanna look-alike":

Troubled R&B star Chris Brown stunned basketball fans last night when he turned up with a Rihanna lookalike. Just three days after Chris and his ex were spotted sitting far apart at a basketball game last week, he attended the NBA finals in Florida with a dead ringer for the famous singer. At first glance, many fans could have been forgiven for thinking Rihanna, 21, had reconciled with Chris, 20, following her alleged assault by him four months ago.Despite the similar dress sense and hairstyle, the woman in question was actually upcoming singer/rapper Teyana Taylor, 18. Chris, his brother Quincy Brown and Teyana had prime seats in the front row courtside as the LA Lakers took on Orlando Magic in Orlando. They cheered as the Lakers ended up beating Orlando 98-86 and clinching this year’s NBA championship title. The relationship between Teyana and Chris is not known, but the pair could be working together as both are currently recording albums. Teyana found fame as a spoiled teenager on MTV documentary My Super Sweet 16 and choreographed the video to Beyonce Knowles’s 2006 single "Ring The Alarm" when she was just 15. Rihanna was spotted attending several LA Lakers games last week, but surprisingly opted out of the basketball team’s biggest game on Sunday. Perhaps her ex-boyfriend’s attendance at the last match may have prompted her decision to sit out the final. Chris and Rihanna were originally reported to have requested to ’sit together’ at Thursday’s game, but were spotted sitting in completely separate sections.

Via: DailyMail

Not too long after websites were reporting the same stories, Teyana got wind of it and said this:

"omgggggg if one more reporter say that im rihanna im gonna go crazzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"

I had to giggle at this little situation because if someone really thought Teyana was Rihanna, they are dumb...

Lala Shaves Her Head

Last night, Lala Vazquez posted a pic of her shaved head via her Twitter. The title of the picture was "Cassie started the movement. I did the Lala Remix!"

She also added this:

Cassie did it for atention, Lala did it or a good cause. It looks good, too

Usher and Tameka Call it Quits

According to InTouch Weekly, Usher Raymond and Tameka are heading for splitsville.

In Touch can exclusively reveal that Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, are divorcing. “The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch, adding, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The soon-to-be exes have two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months. And the insider says that it’s more than just talk — the divorce papers were filed in Atlanta this morning. The couple has faced problems in the past. In November 2008, In Touch reported that Usher was flirting with girls at a party in Miami, and even asked a model what she was doing afterward. And in February, In Touch revealed that although Usher flew to Tameka’s side after she suffered cardiac arrest from cosmetic surgery in Brazil, he “had no idea that she was there to have surgery.”

I cant say I didnt see this one coming. I never really got the "im so in love with Tameka" vibe from Ur-sher. Once the kids starting popping out, I thought, "Home girl just got check one and two, shes good."

It seems very apropos that the split is coming before the release of Usher's new album "Monster". My question is, is the theme of this new album going to be based on this split? you know, like "Confessions" was based on cheating when he was with Chilli?

If this album flops, its gonna be his fault.

BTW- Here are the divorce papers:
