According to many blog sites and even the NY POST, Chris Brown is shopping around clubs to throw his 21st birthday party in Vegas, Miami and NY, BUT- apparently none of these clubs wants to mess up their good relationship with Rihanna, so he has resorted to looking for restaurants and other venues to throw his birthday shindig.

Kandy's Thought: Those club owners are RETARDS. Don't they know that letting Chris throw his party at their club will bring the money in? I went to his Super Sweet 18, and let me tell you, that party was PACKED.

I know times have changed and things have happened since then, but he still has loyal fans who would love to be a part of his 21st birthday party (me included lol). Kandyyams is PRO-CHRIS ALL THE WAY.

Did I Miss Something?

I had been without a tv in my room for about a week up until last night, so when I got the chance, I checked out most of the shows I missed.

I caught "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and it was the show when Scott wasn't taking his fatherly duties seriously. Anyway- Kourtney asks Khloe to come with her to a breast feeding class to take Scott's place.

While the two are learning how to change a diaper, Kourtney says to Khloe, "I don't like my baby". So Khloe offers to switch, but not before saying "THIS IS MY BLACK BABY".

(Record skips) What did you just say, Khloe? Your black baby? (Insert angry face HERE). I don't even know where to start on this one. And you know, I wouldn't have even noticed she said it if E! Didn't put the subtitles there when she said it. My mother happened to be in my room, talking to me, but when I heard what she said, I said "Whoa, ma she just said that was her black baby". And my mother responded: "Yea, I saw this yesterday and was very turned off".

I'm not saying that Khloe is racist, but I'm getting the feeling that she is getting TOO DAMN comfortable. Why did she feel the need to say that? She was obviously trying to be funny, but I only recall Kourtney laughing. I sure as hell didn't find it funny.

That not only tells me that she probably says things like that all the time, but that she doesn't think before she speaks.

Wow, every time I check my blog, I have more followers! I so suck for not keeping this blog updated often. But you gotta understand, I don't have the time! Well, I didn't have the time to keep it up. NOW- my schedule is more freed up and we gonna get it poppin' like we used to do around this time last year. Those that been hanging with me since "kandyyams" started, THANK YOU! Im not sure if you guys know this about me, but I have very serious anger issues. I get aggravated TOO easily and I sometimes take it out on the people that have NOTHING to do with the reason I'm mad. Its a sad disease, but I'm trying to work past it and erase that part of me.

Its HARD, though because lately, I've been surrounded by people that want to see me FAIL. Like, seriously want to break me down, chew me up, spit me out, then throw me in acid. I am breaking out constantly. I have so much stress its trying to get out, so to speak. And Its sad really, because THESE PEOPLE ARE ANGERING ME, THEREFORE, OWNING ME.

Ask anyone I'm close too. I am so quick to argue, quick to curse a m********a OUT and even fight, If I have to. And the people this post is about make me want to do just that. I've never met a person that is ONLY for self, doesnt want anyone else to win and at the same time, HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!

The one that HAS and is STILL doing it is the one we'll call "my savior". I know this person is probably sick of talking to me about my frustration, but they want to see me succeed. Im currently in the stage where Im learning to control my anger and attitude, as well as not get defensive (which I didn't realize I did). Its hard, man. Trying to find that medium and "kill with kindness". It kills ME to kill someone with kindness, omg! Its not what Im used to. When someone pisses me off, I enjoy returning the favor.

But, that was the old me. Some people just cant help being who they are. Cant help being Satan's Seeds. And Its my mission in life to master the art of dealing with these type of people. I refuse to waste all my energy being angry at someone who will never learn!

Im a geuinely nice person. I cant play the "search and destroy" game. I fail at it. Im a firm believer in "whats right is right" and "whats wrong is wrong".

What helps me though is when I realize that they will never be anything more than what they are right now. Good things happen to good people and god DOESNT like ugly. What you think it really is, its not. They will never get the respect they think they deserve and that brings a develish smile across my face.

Im not gonna sit there and argue with a fool! If you're going to be great at something, be great. If the pat on the back gets you through the day and gives you affirmation, thats fine with me. I don't need that, because thats what Im supposed to do. Its my job to be great no matter how much praise I get, if I get any at all.

Being humble is an important part in life. No one wants to be the prick that nobody wants to work with....

I come to my Global Grind readers a sad woman. For a couple of days now, I have really been missing one of my favorite people in the WHOLE WORLD, Mr. Kanye West. We all know that he said he was going to be out of the spotlight for a while because of the whole "Taylor Swift" incident, but its not like she was winning the Nobel Peace Prize. It was a MTV Moon-man, for christ sakes!

We all remember that night. September 13, 2009...

Taylor Swift was up against Beyonce' for "Best Female Video" at the VMA's...although many thought Bey had it in the bag, young Taylor took home the award. Bey's Big brother Kanye wasn't feeling that- AT ALL. The combination of anger and Hennessy is what fueled my main man to hop on stage, take the mic from Taylor and say "Taylor, I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce' had the best video of ALL TIME", shrug and give her the mic back. That night, Twitter went crazy, people just 'couldn't believe' that happened and everyone was just so mad at Ye.

After the incident, Kanye publicly apologized to Taylor more than once, even appearing on Jay Leno's show:

And then decided to back out of the spotlight.

While writing this, I was listening to Kanye on my ipod and came up with some reasons Kanye needs to come back:

Reason #1- Because his TRUE fans miss him. He just up and left us to deal with artists and producers that we never noticed before!

Reason #2- Im praying he's working on some DOPE music while he's gone, so I say he needs to come back because the music industry is missing the magic that he makes.

Reason #3- Although he doesn't need the help, Ye's big brother Hov is getting attacked by someone Ye AND Hov once considered family, Beanie Siegel and I feel like Kanye should definitely be mediating that nonsense.

Reason #4- Who is out promoting the Air Yeezy's and the Louis Vuitton sneakers he has? I cant do all the work by myself! Lol..

Reason #5- Kid Cudi did 100,000+ his first week, and there was no celebration party with Ye gone. Lupe dropped a mixtape on Turkey day and nobody is going hard for it like I know Kanye would.

Reason #6- Its just not the same without him around! Point blank, period.

So Kanye, take this as a plea from a LOYAL fan, someone who believes you are a GENIUS, and come back into the spotlight!

Did anybody miss me? I know I been playing myself, abandoning Kandyyams for Global Grind. I'm not gonna do it anymore. I PROMISE.

On a serious note- Can I tell yall what I've learned in the past 3 months?

First, I learned that this guy I was feeling REALLY WASNT INTO ME. He was actually the inspiration for a previous post I had done on that subject (this one). I just didnt understand how someone approached me and when I wanted to make plans it never went anywhere. Like wtf u shouldnt have brought it HERE, if you was gonna do that. Im too old to be playing around. Shit was crazy, I had to get outta that situation before it got out of hand and I started feeling more stupid. No hard feelings.

I also learned that blogging is not what I thought it was. When I made this blog, I had no idea where I was going with it. It started as an online journal and then I started putting up clips and pics, taking on the persona of a blogger. Sites like Necole Bitchie and Bossip make it look easy, but once you're on the inside and you see how stuff gets conjured up and passed around, you'd be like "whaaaaa"? Its a risky business, this blogging thing! You have to be careful not to build/break the wrong relationships or else it OVER.

Im learning more about myself, too. I learned that im progressing and that I rather stay in the house than to surround myself with people I feel aren't. Its like, how long can you be doing the same thing? I call it "going nowhere fast". I've been correcting my wrongs and working on myself and I amaze myself everyday. My thing is, how come you don't want to progress like Im doing? Life is crazy, I swear.

No way am I content in where I am in life BUT, im happier than I was 3 months ago. I've done alot since I decided to turn my writing hobby into something serious.

Over the weekend, Kanye West and Amber Rose did some shopping together at Jeffreys in NYC and then hit the town for some partying at M2.

At the same time this was going on, Rihanna was photographed at Cipriani in NYC after catching Katy Perry in concert. Meanwhile, I'm hearing Chris Brown was spotted sitting outside the restaurant in a car, talking on his phone (according to TMZ). Chris and Rihanna are also staying at the same hotel. Coincedence? Via Angela Yee from Shade 45 radio, Gloria Velez claims her on again , off again boo Shawn Merriman told her he wanted a family, and they were waiting to see if she was pregnant, he went to Puff's recent all white party and was 'doing his thing acting like he was single'.

She was asked what that “thing” was that he was doing she stated, “I believe he was f*cking for sure.” Then goes on to say his partner was a “4’11 midget myspace ho non-talented bitch,” and then explains their twitter beef with Tila Tequila (the girl she was talking about).

Kandy's Opinion: Im glad he reached out and apologized for the situation. Again, we dont really know what went on that night, so we cant judge. Sure, he was reading off of cue cards, but I feel those words came from him. Rihanna hasnt spoken out on the sitation at all, and I feel like she's playing the victim. We've all heard that Rihanna was slick at the mouth and would even hit him on occasions, so why arent we ganging up on her? I feel bad for him and her, but the apology wasnt for us, it was for Rihanna. Now, he can move on.

According to The Daily Mail, LaToya Jackson says her brother was mistreated:

"I believe Michael was murdered. I felt that from the start. Not just one person was involved, rather it was a conspiracy of people. He was surrounded by a bad circle. 10 Signs That He Might Not Be "In2 U"

This entry comes to you after hours of procrastination, some proof-reading and just plain ol' aggrivation.

I'm the type of person who likes to say what I mean and mean what I say. I don't like having to figure a person out. I don't feel I should have to. Its 2009, for christ sakes! Yes, this blog involves a guy, yes, I'm kinda digging him and NO, I can't figure him out. After attempting to get him, It hit me:

"Maybe He's Just Not That Into Me."

But then, I start thinking back. He was the one who came to me with it. He got our mutual friend to get in touch with me and we started talking everyday after that. No, not talking, TEXTING.

As I'm thinking about this, all the signs are popping up in my head. They've been there the whole time and all of a sudden, they are as clear as day! Not all 10 signs refer to my situation, but most of them do. Maybe they refer to you, as well.

Signs He Might Not Be Into You:

#10-If you and him are out and you happen to run into his parents, whom he introduces you to them as his "friend".

#9- He tells you he "just got out of a long relationship and he wants to take things slow". That means he's newly single and he is f****n every female he's coming in contact with.

#8- He texts you, because he "doesn't really talk on the phone". That's code for "I rather use my minutes talking to some1 else."

#7- You live pretty close to each other, but he's not making an effort to see you, or ask you to come see him.

#6- You tell your friends about him, but his friends have no idea who you are.

#5- He added you on MySpace and Facebook, but still hasn't changed his status to "in a relationship".

#4- He calls you "sexy" a lot, making you blush (all through text, mind you).

#3- You ask him what he's doing tomorrow and the answer is always something stupid like, "cleaning" or any other activity that he knows you don't want to be apart of.

#2- You don't hear from him in a couple days and when he finally hits you up, its not about how much he missed you. Its because he needs a ride somewhere.

#1- He tells you he's going to call you and your phone never riings. And on top of that, has a reason (excuse) why he didn't call you.

After reading this entry over and over, I'm thinking "what the hell am I wasting my time for"? I'm not in love with him, I only like him. And that's even in question after all of this....

Black Kids Booted From Pool

The Kids at Creative Steps Day Camp were thrilled to go swimming once a week at the Valley Swim Club. But after only one trip to the private club, they were...

"I heard this lady, she was like, 'Uh, what are all these black kids doing here?' She's like, 'I'm scared they might do something to my child,'" said camper Dymire Baylor.

The Creative Steps Day Camp paid more than $1900 to The Valley Swim Club. The Valley Swim Club is a private club that advertises open membership. But the campers' first visit to the pool suggested otherwise.

"When the minority children got in the pool all of the Caucasian children immediately exited the pool," Horace Gibson, parent of a day camp child, wrote in an email. "The pool attendants came and told the black children that they did not allow minorities in the club and needed the children to leave immediately."

The next day the club told the camp director that the camp's membership was being suspended and their money would be refunded.

Rihanna Missing Chris?

Supposed friends of Rihanna say that the situation with Chris Brown in which he was sentenced 180 days of community labor for assaulting her, has been hard on the songbird. Chris has been given five years of probation and is not permitted to be within 50 yards of her [10 yards on events]. This has reportedly made Rihanna quite unhappy.

A source tells "Now magazine", "It's so hard for her. She knows her family would freak out if she told them she wants to get on with Chris, so she has to hide her feelings."

The source also says that Rihanna was absolutely terrified to testify against Brown, "She's been a nervous wreck for weeks as she was so terrified that Chris would hate her after she testified. Whenever she starts crying, she has to pretend that she's been having flashbacks to the attacks. But it isn't that. It's because she misses him and can't believe it came to this after everything they had going. She's mad with him, but at the same time she blames herself."

According to the source, the nerves were uncontrollable before the trial, "She couldn't eat in the days before the trial. Her stomach was in knots and she was shaking. Whenever I see her out, she always has a drink in her hand – mostly champagne, but sometimes beer or shots. She's in pain and is trying to numb it out to the best of her ability."

Life and Times of Me

After all these months, I haven't formally introduced myself. Here goes.

I'm Kandy, I'm 22 years old (will be 23 soon) and I'm from Queens, NY. Queens, the home of Russell and Run, LL and 50...and me. I was born and raised here, spent my adolsecent years here and came in contact with some of the coolest people ever all while living here.

When I was young, I knew I was destined for greatness. Music has always been a huge part of my life. At the age of 2, my father bought me a drum set and taught me how to play the drums to Michael Jackson's "Heartbreak Hotel". From then on, I was remembering the words to songs, hearing rhythms, and reciting ad libs. Early on, I wanted to be a world-famous singer.

As I got older and into boys, I realized I couldn't sing and left my future singing career on the back burner (lol). Before my real teen years, my old friend Tiffany started coming around more and more and me and her got real close. We did a bunch of stuff together, including going up to the radio station to visit her father Ed Lover. Coming in contact with all those artists and celebrities at a young age is what made me fall in love with my new passion: Radio Broadcasting.

While at the station, I'd pay attention to the engineer and what he was doin, how long commercials lasted, whose mic goes where and what buttons on the board were which. When I graduated high school, I took off to Fort Lauderdale, FL to study Radio Broadcasting at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. My dreams turned out to be bigger than my parents' pocket, because after 6 months, I was on a plane back to Queens.

After I left school, I tried every possible way to get back there. Unfortunately, no one wanted to help. So, I never went back.

I got a job at Bloomingdale's and used to catch myself having panic attacks when I would think about the possibility of me spending the rest of my life working there. There were just too many employees working there that had been there for 20 years and were making the same $8 I was making. It was sad. I vowed that wasn't going to be me.

Since working at Bloomingdale's I've had numerous jobs. But I always found something wrong with each and every one of them. I started feeling like sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day, or watching other people's kids was something I would be trapped doing for the rest of my life.

Fast forward to now. No longer working at LaGuardia Airport (I HATED that job with the strongest passion), I've come in contact with way more people that are in the limelight and my dream of becoming famous has been reborn.

Don't get too hyped, though. You won't see me butt naked on anyone's dvd any time soon, trying to become famous. I'm now in a place where I realize I can wear many hats.

In school, my teachers told my mother that I was a very good writer. Thinking back to elementary, I used to always write stories for homework and itd always be too long, or I'd write just to write and then show my friends, who in turn always had me writing more stories. By jhs (junior high school), I could have put together 2 books worth of short stories.

High school was no different. It was when I fell in love with writing. I'd sit in class, head all in my book, pretending I'm taking notes when really, the words and scenerio's of my stories were spilling out of my pen. I was writing the type of stories like the ones you would read in a Terry McMillan book. I knew I was talented. I wanted to get my words out there, so I started this blog.

At first, I was just blogging to blog. But now, after a couple months, I want to take it further. I want everybody to see what I have to say. I want to have a website people can come to get the facts about any and every thing. I'm getting ready to get the ball rolling and I just hope u guys are entertained by the stuff I put on here and understand that this is something I'm considering doing as a career. I know its not going to happen overnight, but I'm willing to wear that hat.

Today Is The Day MJ Goes Home

Today is the day that thousands gathered inside the Staples Center to send MJ home.
Here are a few pictures from inside MJ's memorial:

The ceremony started a little after 1pm est time and started with Smokey Robinson reading letters that were written by Nelson Mandela and Diana Ross. Soon after, the audio from inside the memorial was lost, but it was eventually retrieved and continued on with words from a pastor, Queen Latifah coming out and sharing her memories, as well as reading a lovely poem written by Maya Angelou for Michael. Performers included Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz doing their cover of "I'll Be There", Jennifer Hudson singing "Will You Be There" from the free Willy Soundtrack, Stevie Wonder did "Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer" and drifted into "They Wont Go When I Go". Usher did "Gone Too Soon", walking off the stage and going over to MJ's casket, finishing the song down by MJ and even shedding some tears (he got me crying after that). Kobe and Magic Johnson came and said some words, Martin Luther King Jr's children even had some words to share. John Mayer and his trusty guitar did a rendition of "Human Nature"...it had a good groove to it. He didnt sing, he just let us hear the music and imagine Michael's voice. Chris Brown did attend the memorial, but did not perform as everyone had hopped he would.

MJ's background singers and band ended the performances with "We Are The World" and "Heal The World"...everyone came on stage and joined in. Jermaine thanksed everyone for their prayers, Marlon spoke and shed some tears and then, MJ's daughter, Paris decided she wanted to speak.

"From the day I was born, daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just want to say I love him so much." After, Aunt Janet walked her offstage.

Inside the program of MJ's tribute, LaToya and Tito Jackson share childhood stories about him:

LaToya: “Michael, I recall you sitting on a chair, in your bedroom, staring at the television, watching the 1980 Grammy awards show, crying to me because you had won only one Grammy award and you said, 'Watch, LaToya, my next record, I am going to sell more records and win more Grammys than anyone in the history of music... I will be the biggest and the greatest entertainer of all time.' You began to write that dream all throughout your bedroom, on the walls, on the mirrors, in your books and anywhere else you could find space.... You’ve lived your dream, you’ve proven to us all that if we believe, you will achieve; you believed, and oh my did you achieve!”

Tito: “My memories of us as a family? Michael running through the house — no one could catch Michael, he was always fast on his feet. I watched as we moved from Gary [Ind.] to Los Angeles, from signing in clubs to filling stadiums. My brother Michael was always pushing it to the sky, as far as it could go. Michael put his heart and soul into his music, his family and into his work of always helping others.… I love him. Michael is always with me. We will carry the light and make the light shine again for Michael and the world.”

This truly is a travesty. RIP MJ...You will always be missed.

How Come You Didn't Want To Be A Doctor?

This entry comes from what I'm seeing in my every day life. I was looking at all the people in my twitter timeline and noticed a lot of people are artists giving out their songs for those following them to listen to.

I'm ALL for self promotion, but I wonder if these same people realize that the music industry isn't the same anymore. You can't just be "nice on the mic" anymore. You have to have that buzz about you that can't be denied. Nowadays, A & R's are looking for the people that have the internet going crazy. Why? Because the internet has become the source of all media. Record companies aren't willing to take that chance on those that don't have that buzz going on already.

People aren't going out and buying albums as much as they used to in the earlier days. Why else would it be a big deal when Weezy sold 1 million albums in his first week? People were shocked because an artist hadn't done that in a long time. And to top it off, his album got leaked from here to Iraq, so doing those numbers was a great accomplishment.

Back in the 90's during the Bad Boy, Deathrow, Def Jam era, if an artist was signed, they were forced on us, making us go out and buy their albums. It was never a question who was going to go platinum and who wasn't because in those times, every artist did numbers.

Now-we're in the era of "make up a dance and tell people how to do it in the song" on a nice beat. Yes, I'm talking about the Souljaboy's, the GS Boyz, and the B Hamp's. A new, fun song is all fine and dandy, but when that's what your whole album is based on, I'm less likely to support your career. I appreciate artists that have the skill to put words together to make me think about the deep stuff. I appreciate the actual skill of it all.

The "Up and comers" are trying not to go that route, but without it, they are going to struggle with getting a deal. And there's the "Catch 22".

Not only that, but the overall appearance of these "up and comers" are not quite up to par. Diddy made Big Mike lose weight (he could stand to lose about 50 more pounds) back when he was still trying to make the band. A record company is not going to risk throwing their money into someone that isn't appealing to the public.

With all that said, I ask, "how come these guys never wanted to be a doctor or lawyer?"

Im sure I know the answer to this question. Its the same reason why I didn't want to be a doctor or lawyer: because studying Radio Broadcasting was cheaper. I do have a passion to do radio, but I have no plans on limiting myself (that's another blog post).

No, I'm not an A&R, but I definitely could be. I have a musical talent and I have the ear. And some people just need other hobbies.

I know these up and comers have the passion to do music, but I fear they don't understand its gonna take a lot more than being "nice on the mic". They have to do shows, youtube themselves, make their own little street teams and flood their neighboorhood with their music. Sending links to Diddy via Twitter (or any celebs on Twitter for that matter) is just not going to work.

This is the first day of the new format of the blog and I wanna start it off with some advice. A reader emailed me, asking me if she should approach a guy she likes and asked for any tips I could give her.

Dear Reader:
I think you should approach the guy. History goes that a man courts the woman, picks the woman up, takes her out and pays for the date. But, it is a new millennium, new century, new year in general. Nowadays, men want to be courted, picked up, taken out, and treated.

Although it is a new time, men dont like women that come on too strong. So, when approaching him, just be easy. Start a small conversation and take it from there.

Do's and Dont's

Do- Smile alot. Show him you're confident in yourself.
Do- Listen to what he is talking about. Men like a woman that is attentive.
Do- Make good body contact. A touch on the arm, an "accidental" touch of hands is always good.
DONT- Ask him where he works, what kind of car he drives, or anything that will make you look like a golddigger
DONT- Text someone else while you're talking to him. Its rude and offensive.
DONT- Offer to go home with him that night. Dont even accept if he asks you to go home with him. Men dont have respect for a woman who give it up quick!

If you follow these steps, Im sure u will have no problem snagging that crush of yours.

Vibe magazine announced they were shutting down yesterday. "Why"is a question we all ask. Well, the problem is financial. That doesn't surprise me at all, what, with the uprising of bloggers, and internet sites more dedicated to get readers.

Now there is buzz going around the the founder of Vibe, Quincy Jones is stepping in to keep the magazine alive. He says "the people running the magazine screwed it all up".

On another note: This video is the tribute to Michael Jackson done by The Game, Chris Brown, P.Diddy and Boyz II Men

As most of us all know, Chris Brown was "supposed" to open the BET Awards with a tribute to Michael Jackson, but as we all watched, the show went on with no mention of Chris at all. Soon after the awards were over, rumors circulated that Jay-Z shut Chris Brown down. Word is, he threatened not to perform and have B not perform, either.

Then, more rumors popped up, saying that Al Sharpton was the reason that Chris didnt perform. So, AL Sharpton immediately got on damage control, sitting down with MTV and speaking on the situation:

Of course, as we all know by now, Micheal Jackson has passed away due to cardiac arrest. Yesterday, I found out through Twitter that MJ had gone into cardiac arrest. So, of course, I turned the news on and there it was, in my face. The scroll on the bottom read "Micheal Jackson rushed to hospital after suffering cardiac arrest". I didnt want to believe it. My mother, brother and friends were all in the livingroom with me and we were all shocked at the same time. Maybe it was just me, but I thought Micheal Jackson would live to be 100. I just knew that when I had kids, they would know who he was and love him a much as I do. I thought MJ was immortal. And to have his heart just stop, is crazy to me. I cant even believe Im writing this...To see "RIP" and his name after is gives me chills. Yesterday, "Never Can Say Goodbye" was the first time I thought that song was sad. And hearing it brought the tears out of my eyes. No, I didnt know him personally, but he was (and still is) my favorite entertainer PERIOD. So, yes, it saddens me that this has happened because no one wants someone to die. Especially not MJ. My fam and I were JUST watching his concert on dvd last weekend and now we'll never see or hear from him again.

I didnt want to post anything about MJ, but after reading what everybody had to say about the King of Pop, I decided to share it with my readers. These are all from people close to Micheal:

Via Twitter, I met a cool dude by the name of Cashus C.R.E.A.M. He's a songwriter from Conneticut (now residing in NYC) who is also an artist/rapper. After talking to him for a bit, I find out that he's friends with someone I know through a close friend of mine (small world, isnt it?).

Chris Pleads Guilty To Assault

According to TMZ:

"Chris will spend 180 days doing community labor, (which is hard labor). It will all happen in Virginia where he lives. He will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks. He got 5 years probation after pleading guilty to the assault, surpervised probation, has to enroll in a domestic violence program, and has to go back to court every 3 months.

The judge ordered a 50 yard stay away, but noted that if him and RIhanna are at the same events, the 50 yards turns into 10 yards. If Chris violates his probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison. Once Chris left the courtroom, Rihanna entered and the judge explained to her that she must also stay away from him for the next 5 years..."

"Words can hurt. I know that very well, from both sides of the fence. The other night in Toronto, after feeling physically threatened by a verbally abusive Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, I chose the most hurtful word I know to hurl at him. I was in an out-of-the ordinary situaton and used a word that I would not utter under normal circumstances. My intention - however misguided it may have been - was to stand up for myself and tell this belligerent man that I had enough of his badgering and was not going to continue to let him berate and intimidate me. I wanted to hurt him with the word I chose, not anyone else. Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me and, subsequently, a lot of other people. I wish none of it had happened. I can't take it back. I did what I thought was best at the moment to stand up for myself in a non-violent yet still assertive way. Clearly, I am not homophobic. Also, I am not nor have I ever claimed to be a spokesperson for the gay community. I am just speaking for myself, a gay man. One who is labeled "flamboyant" in the media. An American that is not granted equal rights under the law. I will continue to speak out for equality and I will continue to say things that upset both gay people and straight people. Who I am as a person and what I do for a living are two separate things. I've come to terms with all my incongruities and am proud of who I am and what I do. In closing, words can hurt. But words should not provoke someone to violence. Stripped away from the mask of Perez Hilton, I have been extremely bothered by the public reaction to my assault. Violence should never be condoned with such statements as "It's Karma" or "I don't believe in violence but….". In fact, several television and radio shows over the past couple of days echoed the sentiment "He had it coming". Would they have said the same thing if I was a woman? Would I have "deserved it" if I had been stabbed? Or shot? Or killed? I was attacked from behind without warning and repeatedly punched in the head in a cold, disgusting and unnecessarily violent manner by Polo Molina, the road manager for the Black Eyed Peas, who I did not even speak with that evening. I did not share any words with him and his assault on me was completely unprovoked. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I leave this traumatic experience as a person with more compassion. Specifically, there was an instance last year when actor Jesse Metcalfe was attacked outside of a Hollywood nightclub by a fellow entertainer. I did not condone the violence, but I did make light of that situation. I regret that. Sincerely. There are many ways to deal with disagreements, both good and bad, but violence is never the answer. Never. I now know that first-hand. It should not be condoned, promoted or accepted. No one "deserves" to be the victim of violence. No one "has it coming." NO ONE. And victims should not be ridiculed. I look forward to marching for equality in Washington, D.C. this October. And I look forward to standing up for my rights in a Toronto courtroom shortly, as I fully intend to seek every lawful remedy against the man that attacked me."
